Installing a splash screen

Installing a tomtom map color scheme is similar to other instructions, but you should go through them just to make sure, i'll make these instructions as 'Lehman's terms' as i possible can;

Its better to download the scheme before you begin

1. Connect your tomtom to your pc and switch it on.

2. Go to 'My computer' and Open the directory where tomtom data is stored (SD card or harddrive)

3. Copy the colour scheme and paste it into the 'schemes' folder as highlighted above. you can add as many schemes as you wish, they're only about 3kb.

4. Switch off your tomtom and disconnect.

How to select/change a colour scheme on your tomtom

1. Go to tomtom's 'Main Menu', select 'change preferences', then select 'Change map colours'.

2. Click next until you reach 'Plug-in scheme' (this is normally the last option on the list).

3. Select 'Plug-in scheme' and this should show you the full list of schemes, select one for day, and one for night (you can also select the same scheme for day and night).

Note:
- If the tomtom has no signal you will not be able to see the maps in colour. you need to go outside if you wish to preview the colour scheme.
